Terms of Service
Last updated: October 16, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name, LLC] (“we”, “us”) for using Rig: the web chat, text messaging, work-order and signing pages, and the shop workspace. By using Rig you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use it.
Not for emergencies
If anyone is hurt, the truck is on fire, or you are in danger, call 911 first. Rig is not an emergency service, and nobody may be watching the conversation in real time.
What Rig is, and isn’t
- Rig is an AI assistant that takes requests on behalf of independent repair shops. The shop, not us, does the work, sets the prices, decides whether to take the job, and is responsible for the repair or tow.
- Replies come from an AI until a technician joins. They can be wrong or incomplete. Diagnoses, prices, parts and arrival times from Rig are estimates; the shop confirms them.
- We don’t guarantee that a shop will answer, accept a job, or arrive by a certain time.
Drivers and customers
- Give accurate information, especially your location and how to reach you.
- Only share someone else’s information (like a fleet contact) if you’re allowed to.
- Work orders and signatures. When you type your name on a work order and tap sign, that is your electronic signature, and it has the same effect as signing on paper. The work order is an agreement between you (or the company you represent) and the shop, not with us. Payment and disputes about the work are between you and the shop.
- Text messages. By texting a shop through Rig, you agree to get replies about your request. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency depends on your conversation. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help. Carriers aren’t liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Shops
- You confirm you can bind your business to these terms, and that what you tell us about the shop is true.
- Keep your account secure, give access only to your own team, and tell us right away about any unauthorized use. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
- You are responsible for your services, prices, work orders, technicians and what they write to customers, and for following the laws that apply to your business, including consumer, licensing, towing and messaging laws.
- You review Rig’s work orders and estimates before relying on them, and you confirm prices and arrival times with the customer.
- Your shop’s data stays yours. You let us use it to run Rig for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Fees, if any, are those of your plan or a separate agreement with us.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Rig to:
- break the law, harass anyone, or send spam;
- submit false requests or impersonate someone;
- try to make the AI produce harmful content or ignore its instructions;
- access what isn’t yours, probe or overload the service, or copy it by scraping or reverse engineering.
We may suspend or close access that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.
Our service
Rig, its software and its brand belong to us and our licensors. We give you a limited right to use it under these terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything. Rig relies on other services (like Slack, Google Maps and mobile carriers); their terms apply to their parts, and we aren’t responsible for their outages. We may change or stop features.
Disclaimer
Rig is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that Rig will be uninterrupted, error-free or that AI replies will be correct.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, downtime, towing, cargo or delay, arising from Rigor from any shop’s work. Our total liability for any claim about Rig is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Rig in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.
Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify [Company legal name, LLC] against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of Rig or your breach of these terms, and for shops, from your services to your customers.
Disputes
If you have a problem with us, email legal@iamrig.com first; we will try to resolve it within 60 days. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any lawsuit must be brought in the state or federal courts in [County] County, Texas, and you and we consent to those courts, except that either of us may use small-claims court. Claims must be brought individually, not as part of a class, to the extent the law allows.
Ending
You can stop using Rig at any time, and shops can close their account. We may suspend or end access as described above. Sections that by their nature should survive (like disclaimers, limits of liability, indemnity and disputes) survive.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for important changes, tell shops before they take effect. Using Rig after that means you accept the new terms.
Other terms
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about Rig (shops may also have a signed agreement with us, which controls if it conflicts). If a part is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a term isn’t a waiver. You can’t transfer these terms without our consent; we can in a merger or sale.
